Formula Drift 2011

This year’s Formula Drift was way boring compared to the one I went two years ago. The whole event just felt too “organised” (like law and order you know) that there’s almost zero suspense and excitement.

Okay, some boring photos of the boring event to bore you if you’re feeling bored anyways.

With bro and cousin Alan. Kudos to coussie for treating us there!

As a gesture of appreciation, I treated them to ridiculously expensive and disgustingly dry hotdog buns at $4 each, and pathetic nachos with cheese at $5. Daylight robbery indeed, and I fell for it cos’ they didn’t display any price.

Of only police cars look that awesome.

When Formula Drift announced their lunch break, we left and went for a gratifying and cheap lunch at City Square.

$6 for a decent salmon shabu shabu set with many many “liao”!

My Break, Yer Choice: Part 3

This is the third part of ‘My Break, Yer Choice’ regarding the planning of my one-day break! I don’t want to repeat the story so you can refer to Part 1 and Part 2.

I need YER HELP in selecting an activity for me to do between 3pm – 6pm, or you can throw me better ideas if any!

You can drop me a comment / email me / PM me / say it in my face / whatever. One lucky reader will walk away with a $200 KIT KAT® KIT! Easy like A B C, cos’ you just hafta choose A, B, or C!

In the Middle of the Tracks

Visited the place where the whole of Singapore is visiting one week ago.

*Excited face. More like 被火车撞 (kena-banged-by-train) face.

Plonked our butts down abruptly and had Ben & Jerry’s ice cream!

Climbed up that shit and it was quite scary actually. Cos’ if we fall, we’ll end up on the road where all the cars are.

Jump shots lol.

With Vian and Kevin :)

Of BBQ, Prawns, Rooftops, Doodles, Crappy Moments & Faces I’ll Miss

I’m damn pissed with Photobucket. Can’t seem to upload FFS, and please tell me I’m not alone. Though I somehow figured out how to still upload to Photobucket using email but it’s extremely irritating cos’ got a lot of photos! Wasai! But I want to blog so badly so LL suck thumb lor.

Our digital team BBQ more than a month ago.

Later into the night, I got high on marshmallows alcohol and started doing the stupidest shit ever.

Like changing into swimwear did repeated jumps (in many different styles) into the 3 metre deep pool from the diving board.

I was totally aware of what I’m doing but I couldn’t care less la. But now that I think back, it was pretty embarrassing :\

Then early at 7am one random weekend morning, we went prawning!

I caught at least 15 prawns during the first hour, but the remaining two hours, my rate died down cos’ some stupid uncle came over to KPO and taught me how to prawn. Hello, I know you pro but don’t need okay. You so “li hai” go get your own rod and prawn all you want la. Reminds me of those smart alecs who used to coach me on Street Fighter in the arcades when I was little, and they always ended up taking over the console for themselves. Blardee freeloaders.

A part of our catch!

It became this under mum’s hands – tom yam prawns. Yum.

My office’s reception area. Everyone is saying how it looks like a funeral with all the white lanterns and “tombstone” looking structures.

I miss the old office so. I can always recall the awe when I first stepped into the pantry that overlooks Singapore’s skyline.

But at least I have one favourite hideout in the new office building – the rooftop.

Can totally chillax and have breakfast there.

Back to the open office concept where I can slack openly.

There’s this day when my Malay colleagues started to write Chinese characters with a calligraphy pen. We ended up doodling then someone suggested to draw 包青天 I dunno why, but we did.

This is our reference photo.

And these are what we came out with. The bottom left one looks more like 财神爷 ROFL.

Photobooth!

We’ve got both the muscle building program..

..and the boob enhancement + tummy slimming program. (He’s a guy btw.)

I miss my colleagues already.

But just so you know, I’m officially out of job and happily freelancing now! :D

My Brue Brack Hair and Brardee Led Rips

I love love LOVE this set of photos, and how can I not love the company and fun at Lynn’s place ytd!?

It was a girly date filled with Kinect dances, makeup talks, wardrobe ransacking, food, desserts, chilling, and thanks to Lynn, I now have a couple of new additions to my closet, including three dresses which the girls will make me wear the next time we go out LOL. They are all trying to make me more feminine :\

Oh ya, I really dyed my hair blue black. A hair cut I need next!

Have a Break, Escape to *SCAPE

And lie on a pile of pillows like it’s your home.

If anyone tries to steal it, pillow fight her!

Hell yeah! That’s Sharon, a blogger friend I made during an event last last Saturday. (OMG I’m backdated I know! Pillow photos credited to her btw.)

The launch of SHINE Youth Festival 2011, BIGGER, BOLDER, BETTER! That’s what I’m talking about.

A lil’ background info here. SHINE Youth Festival is an annual event organised by National Youth Council (NYC) with an aim to act as a platform for youths to indulge in their passion. In other words, LIVE YOUR DREAM! I especially like their tagline, “Enough Talk Just Do.” Because I’ve seen a lot of NATO (No Action Talk Only) people and I seriously can’t stand it, and in my heart I’m like, “shut up and show me something before you speak.” Okay, I digressed. To find out more about the festival, visit their website now!

One main highlight of the day is the “Cosmo Youth Parade” – a 1,000-strong mascot march down from Orchard Central to *SCAPE.

I missed the flag down, so I caught them halfway.

Female Predator!?!

Spiderman – before.

Spiderman – after. Whoa, which gym/slimming center did he visit?

War machine!

Freeze!

Ever popular Bumblebee! The mascot parade was by Nanyang Poly, and I couldn’t help but beam proudly to myself when they chanted “NYP rocks” along the way (because I was from there haha)!

Check out the crowd! An explosion of 12,000 youths!

Amidst the human mass and the hot sun, there’s a “chill-out zone” by Kit Kat® to much delight, complete with free drinks, kit kats, and all.

Pursuant to section 49, sub section 7E, paragraph A of the Parliamentary Youth Act, I was caught chilling out with Mr. Yam Ah Mee.

Daniel Ong – emcee and Martin Tan – chairperson of the SHINE Youth Festival 2011 steering committee.

More blogger friends made during SHINE Youth Festival!

From top left to bottom right, Joey, Angie, Shu Qing, and Sharon. We got chatty and all while waiting for the night concert to start.

The line of performances was a multicultural heritage of ethnic fusion mix and pop program, featuring talents of all kinds.

Freestyle Dancers (The Big Groove).

Juz B – an eye-opening acapella and beat-box group!

The Roses.

The Kit Kat® chill-out zone at night.

I was happily enjoying my dinner break with the fellow bloggers when suddenly, all of them dropped their plates and rushed back to the stage.

I was stuck somewhere in between chicken bones and a conversation, but as soon as I was done, I too hurried to the scene, and there she was..

Tay Kewei – Singapore’s female singer/song-writer.

Jack & Rai with EIC whom played a few of my favourite Coldplay songs.

Then, the lights blacked out, and it was the moment most people are waiting for.

*Drum roll.

Derrick Hoh – another homegrown artist whom made his way to Taiwan’s music industry.

Go crazy NOW!

We were directly below the stage and had the savoured the best view. Perks of being a blogger muahahaha.

Just look at the faces of envy.

Don’t say don’t have lah, here’s a short clip I’ve taken of Derrick Hoh dancing to his popular KTV song – 当我知道你们相爱.

And here’s a cheapo way to have a photo taken with the superstar in case we didn’t had a chance to, which in the end, we really didn’t because he fled so fast with the tightest security guards. But okay la, luckily I’m not his fangirl if not my heart would be broken </3

By the time the festival ended, everyone were getting in the mood to sleep.

*Yawns.

See how more people have their kind of break at Kit Kat®‘s Yer Big Break! Blog Challenge.

The “Loveliest” State My Room Has Ever Gotten Into

:) People who know me should know that I’m a neat freak but JUST LOOK at that pig sty. I know it’s gross but I’ve got no time to bother about it! And I have so many backdated entries I don’t know where to begin with.
