Remember my post about the Ah Neh food? As soon as I uploaded the photos to Facebook, that evil Lynn asked if I want to go back there again. I think in her mind she was chanting, “I know you want it~”

LOL, and so we were back there again, in less than a week. This time, there were five of us – more people = can try more dishes. The food still rox socks. Lion literally froze in his seat when he took his first bite of chicken.

Found a place a few shops down the road to slack after dinner. It was called LICK – Little Ice Cream Kafe (hahaha), and they were having a one-for-one promo every Wednesday. Paid only $3.20 for two scoops. WOW. So cheap that Lion and I went for another two scoops :\

When I pointed the camera at the guys, guys being guys just sat there and looked at me. (If you’re lucky, they’ll smile.)

The guys were seated so far apart that Vincent got blurred out and became part of the background. I think he was secretly pissed with Lion for forgetting his name LOL jk.

But that blur out effect sparked off a dumb idea – we’ll take turns to be in focus while the rest will do random shit in the background.

Because the portion was crazy shit!

Look at Lion’s face. He almost spit out the water in his mouth when he saw the amount of food. I suspect that the staffs were lightning speed trained btw. They loaded everything from their food trolley onto our table within seconds. I was exploding inside my head, “When are they gonna stop unloading?” and before I knew it, they’ve returned with a second trolley and unloaded some more food.

There was a garden of vegetables; four huge slabs of meat; two bowls of rice, soup and salad; eight refillable side dishes; two jugs of water + tea; two more mains – saba fish + beef ribs soup with tung hoon (not shown in picture).

WHOA. The first time I felt intimidated by food. JU SHIN JUNG, YOU WIN.

Dessert was a bit disappointing when they told us it was watermelon, but I shall forgive them on the account that they made hearts out of them. Oh, they also had this ginger tea which tasted like perfume water lol.

On a random note, I’m loving my robot necklace. It cackles as I walk.

On more random notes, countdown: four days to perfect eyesight! And I’m damn angry that both my bank accounts got $2 deducted ‘cos I didn’t hit the $500 mark. Last month also like that. $8 can buy me good food you know. Stupid pay better come on time!

Vali vali nice please! Been wanting to try this since forever, and I pounced on the chance when deciding on a dinner place with Lynn. It’s her awesome recommendation btw, and and, it’s actually quite near my office / home, so I’m definitely coming back for more!

Now you know the real reason behind me being broke. I don’t really shop a lot (I think), but when I do, it’s hugeass amounts for items like these. But but, I’m only willing to splurge on things that I know can last me a long time. Like I wouldn’t pay $70 for a top, it’s stupid.

And that’s what makes me happy.

This is the perfect bowl of Ramen at Ichibantei @ Robertson Quay. It was so so sooooo good and I can salivate instantly by the mere thought of it. Thanks Cass! I won’t trust your movie recommendations anymore, but I’ll always trust your food recommndations! LOL.

Friday night ended perfectly when we satisfied our sweet tooth to Laurent’s Chocolate Bar after dinner. Another shiok place. Now I can’t decide if this or Max Brenner is better.

On a side note, my office has officially relocated to the Ubi area, and it IS a lil’ out of the way.

15 minute walk to office everyday. Cutting through this big piece of abandoned field is a shortcut but I gave up after two attempts.

The day when Orchard had a swimming pool, we had a mini waterfall. Totally FML at that very moment when I had my feet soaking in muddy rainwater above ankle length throughout.

Yesterday it rained heavily on the way to work again but good news is I managed to discover a route where the bus stops directly outside my office building, so yay.

Inaccessibility issues aside, I’m pretty much in love with the new office. The space, the colours, the cleanliness, the AIR-CON, the toilet, everything. It’s a major facelift from our previous one and I hope it continues to stay this way (especially the cleanliness part).

Yes, me and cousin Peimin. I met her like three times this week on different occasions hahaha.

When we were deciding on where to go last Sunday, grandma asked if I wanted to go over to their house to have dinner and my immediate reaction was “EEEEEE I DOWAN!” It’s catered food FFS (not grandma’s cooking) and I heard it sucks. However the very next moment, I found myself drowning in guilt ‘cos grandma will then have to finish all that food alone since no one else will be at home. I relented and decided to go.

It was nice. Paying grandma a visit; bringing my work over but ended up online gossiping with Peimin; taking a stroll together after dinner in search for a place to chill.

Settled for a plate of warm brownie at Grapevine. It was surprisingly good, with no nuts, I love it!

The waitress gave us a cao bin ‘cos we only ordered two drinks + a dessert but we sat there for very long and watched their TV. Aiya we’re too full and too broke for anything extra la lol.

The next afternoon (on Tuesday), we met for lunch again, with my mummy this time round.

Went to this Greenhouse Cafe that mum saw on TV.

Food was not bad, but our real motive was the cam whoring part ‘cos the place looks pretty pretty!

Haha and this is today! Went for a brunch buffet at Quality Hotel with the rest of my family, cheap and decent. But I still cringe at the mention of “Quality Hotel” because I can instantly recall hearing that same name over again and over again during work.

He’s still that cheeky lil’ boy whom never fails to crack us up :)
